Check this first. This bar must measure exactly 100 mm on paper. If it's shorter, your printer scaled the page — print again with scaling set to 100% or “Actual size”.
The gauge
Sit the pump head on top of each circle. The smallest circle it completely covers is your size. If you'd rather cut the holes out, the dashed lines are the cut lines — then drop the head through instead.

Lay the pump head across the ruler and read the widest point.

The Universal fits. That's the great majority of supermarket hand wash, shampoo, conditioner, lotion and sanitiser pumps sold in the UK.
